Hello Internet!
So after essentially spending an entire month on a huge accidental&forced technology hiatus, can I just say how happy I am to be awake at 2am wasting time on Tumblr?!
Long story short, house-sitting a huge place in Sonoma was both awesome and terrible. We almost never had internet, and phone reception was nonexistent…it was nearly torture. I mean, sure we spent most of our time just hanging out with our dog Dexter and the resident dog Dan…we ate a lot of food, rode the bicycles around the neighborhood…picked walnuts…ate food…and did pretty much nothing else of note. In all fairness, it wasn’t always torture, it was actually quite enlightening. It really helped us realize how desperately reliant we are on/to technology. I am happy to report that we both survived that curve ball of a test, and that I will no longer be “off-grid”.
Oh Tumblr, how I’ve missed your endless amount of entertainment.
p.s. did I mention that we’re back to living in California? Of course not, we have so much catching up to do! :)
