Stars Shining Bright Above You

Finished reading Inheritance by Christopher Paolini earlier this week, and let me take a moment to nerd out and say it was fantastic! I was really tempted to re-read the first three books of the Inheritance Cycle, but discovered there was a recap intro in the beginning of the book, so I figured that would suffice. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the novel, but the introduction? Omg, all the “and then” and the “and so” and really just the use of “and” as the first word in so many sentences was killing me. However, I managed to get past the introduction, and I really loved the novel. I won’t spoil anything, but I will just say that it was everything I wanted it to be, and more. When I reached the end, I felt completely happy with how the story had ended…though I secretly yearned for a perfect happy ending, I know I would’ve hated it if it had turned out like that. *cough*JK Rowling’s awful final sentence “All was well.” ugh.*cough*cough*
If you haven’t read any of the Inheritance Cycle books, stop what you’re doing and read them now! They are a fantastic collection of wonderful writing and beautiful storytelling :)
